I won’t give you a sappy story. I will get to the point. My new book, “Who Do You See in the Mirror?” is about my life as a single mother before I almost died on July 15, 2013.
I want to help those single parents that represent the old me. I don’t have a Ph.D. in Psychology. I haven’t yet appeared on a television show to speak to millions. I am a 51-year-old single mother of a beautiful 20-year-old daughter. Working a day job has supported my family as well as my fledgling career as a writer and transformational speaker for single parents.
It was not an easy journey. But, as you read this book I hope you find humor. I hope you get angry. I hope you learn about yourself. This non-fiction work is graphic in some areas and funny in other areas, but this book is about me. If I can help one single parent to begin the journey of healing and loving themselves, then I have accomplished what I humbly set out to do.
